Catlin Canal Company, Sept. 13-18, 2010; The company was first organized on November 14, 1884 as CATLIN LAND AND CANAL COMPANY to construct a canal to carry water from the south side of Arkansas River near the mouth of the Apishapa River to lands between its headgate and Crooked Arroya. This company was concerned mainly with the construction of the canal and sale of water to adjoining landowners. Landowners used horses and slips to construct the canal. Work was completed on the canal on November 7. 1887. India Elieff and Eric Grano take a glance at the satellite view of the CATLIN LAND.
